Saskatoon Music Festival

Encouraging & Supporting Young Musicians since 1930

No One Left Out

In 2013 it became apparent that running the Saskatoon Music Festival was going to involve a substantial rise in the entry fee.  The festival committee did not take this matter lightly and much debate ensued over raising the class fees.  At the same time, we realized that this may cause a hardship for some and felt it necessary to create a bursary program.  Even though we do receive most of our facilities at no fee or a very small fee, money donated to the festival for operations is less than $1000 per year.  We therefore rely on entry fees to cover the majority of our expenses. As a charitable organization, our financial records are listed online at the Canada Revenue Agency.

We welcome all donations.

You can also donate to the Saskatoon Music Festival through Paypal.

SMFC Bursaries

Applications for financial aid in the form of bursaries will only be accepted from teachers. It is expected that teachers will fill out the application and submit by January 13, 2024. Successful candidates will be reimbursed directly from the Saskatoon Music Festival Committee.

Want to contribute?

We accept donations to our bursary fund at any time. 100% of our bursary funds are allocated to students - we don't withhold any administration fees. This means that you can be assured that your entire donation is going directly to students in need!
